Janet Jensen, of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Jefferson Abington Hospital. She was 62 years old.

Janet was born on February 4, 1963, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Gilbert A. Rand and the late Gertrude L. Rand (née Demko). She was the beloved wife of Norm Jensen; devoted mother of Kyle Jensen and his wife Mariah, Emma Jensen, and the late Stephanie Jensen; and loving sister of Barbara Mack and her late husband Raymond.

Janet grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and graduated from George Washington High School. She met Norm at a bowling alley while they were both playing in bowling leagues. After dating for a time, they were married in 1989 at the United Methodist Church of the Redeemer. They began their life and family together in Lawncrest before moving to Willow Grove in 1998.

Janet worked for many years in the healthcare industry. In 2005, she and Norm purchased a vacation home in Towamensing Trails to create lasting family memories. Janet quickly fell in love with the community and eventually became a board member of the club, which she dearly cherished.

A devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan, Janet enjoyed watching games both on television and in person whenever she had the chance. She was an active and involved mother, coaching Emma’s softball team in Upper Moreland and supporting Norm when he coached both Emma and Kyle in travel soccer.

Known as a social butterfly, Janet touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was selfless and compassionate, always putting others before herself. Her enthusiasm for the things she loved and her generous spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Janet also found joy in the little things—reading Danielle Steel novels, taking occasional trips to play the slots, and spending time with her beloved pets, who were truly part of her family.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M., followed by her funeral service at 10:30 A.M., at Lehman Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 South York Road, Hatboro, PA 19040. Her graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dave Carey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to LLS Donor Services, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087.
