The following obituary was written by Elaine’s family.

Elaine J. Adair, of Warminster, PA, lost her courageous battle with cancer on September 10, 2025, at Ann’s Choice. She was 80 years old.

Elaine was born August 11, 1945, in Philadelphia, PA., daughter of the late Harold T. Davis and the late Carolyn (Bender) Davis. She is the beloved wife of Chick Adair, mother of R. James Adair and his wife, Jennifer, and Janet Hauschild and her husband, Steve Hauschild; Nana of Kevin Adair, Lauren Adair and Zachary Morgan; sister of Virginia Loughrey and aunt of Donna, Debbie and Doreen and her husband Gerry Cannon.

Elaine was raised in the Olney section of Philadelphia on Spencer Street. She lived in Hatboro during her high school years and graduated from Olney High School in 1963. While living in Hatboro, she met her husband, Chick Adair. They were married on January 9, 1965, celebrating 60 years of marriage this year. They lived and raised their family in Southampton for 41 years. After Chick retired, they moved to Ann’s Choice in Warminster where they have lived for the past 14 years.

Elaine worked part-time as a cashier and sales associate for Santerian’s, a clothing store in Hatboro for 10 years. While there, she made many friends and enjoyed many luncheons and parties with them, especially the annual Halloween Party.

During her years at Ann’s Choice, she volunteered and was involved in many groups, including Helping Hands, Welcome Committee, Movie Committee, Puzzle Table, Dining Committee, the Elaine Club, and was the leader for the Keystone Krafters for over 10 years.

Elaine had many passions including reading, crossword puzzles, going to the movies, knitting and crocheting as well as traveling. Over the years whether it was by car, plane, bus, or cruise ship, she enjoyed making memories traveling to new places. Her favorite destination was Hawaii. Her love of Hawaii was deeply rooted in her passion for all things Elvis. His movie, Blue Hawaii, was one of her favorites. Her favorite Jersey shore was Ocean City, NJ, where she spent many of her childhood, teenage and adult summer days.

Elaine lived life to the fullest and devoted her life to her family. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones and friends.
