Ursula Stefany (nee Noak) of Southampton, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Southampton Estates. She was 89 years old. Ursula was born July 8, 1936 in Hamburg, Germany, daughter of the late Paul Noak and the late Franziska Noak (nee Harazim). She was the beloved wife of the late Jakob Stefany, mother of Wolfgang Stefany and his wife Katharina, Peter Stefany and his wife Nahed, Monika Stefany and her husband Stephen Pessiki; Oma of Erika Kreckmann and her husband Edward, Andrew Stefany, Adam Stefany, Gabriella Stefany, Elias Pessiki, and Emma Pessiki; Oma Oma of Lukas and Norah Kreckmann; sister of Dieter Noak and his wife Philomena.

After their home was destroyed in an Allied bombing raid, Ursula’s family relocated to Wedel on the Elbe until emigrating to the United States in 1953. Ursula initially worked for the Keebler Company in Philadelphia and later as a technician for the Fredericks Company in Huntingdon Valley, PA.

Ursula met Jakob at the Karpaten Club, a German club in Philadelphia, where she mistook him for a waiter in his tuxedo, which he was actually wearing as a member of the Männerchor. The two were married September 22, 1956 at Tabor Lutheran Church. They started their family in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia but soon became homesick and moved back to Germany in 1964. They built a home in Aerzen Kreis Hameln-Pyrmont, where the family name is still inscribed on a bench memorializing emigrants from that town. In 1967 the family returned to the United States and settled in Warminster, PA. Most recently, Ursula resided at Southampton Estates where she truly enjoyed many newfound friendships.

Although living in various parts of the country, the whole family would reunite every Christmas to share a meal, sing carols, and celebrate together. Ursula cherished every minute spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She found her greatest joy in being a part of their lives and watching them grow.

Services were private at the family request.
