Margaret M. "Peg" Gillespie of Rockledge, Pennsylvania died Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Nazareth Hospital. She was 81 years old. Peg was born June 26, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William J. Brown and the late Margaret P. Brown (nee - Berry). She is the beloved wife of the late Gerald “Jerry” V. Gillespie, mother of Michael Peacock (Carolyn Emrich) and Beth Dorfman (Charles), grandmother of Joseph Weiseman (Danielle) and Hannah Gillespie, great grandmother of Ashton Weiseman, and sister of Joan Capko (John) and the late Joseph R. Brown (the late JoAnn).

Peg was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Olney High School. Peg raised her family in Rockledge, PA and worked in branch banking for many years.
She volunteered at Jeanes Hospital’s gift shop in her retirement. Peg loved trips to the Ocean city, NJ, cruises with her husband, brother, sister in law, and the Kelly’s, and her trip to Ireland with her sister.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. and funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
