Jacqueline Downey of Ambler Pennsylvania passed away on October 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was 82 years old and was born on January 31, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pa to John and Mary Downey. She was the loyal sister to Gail Kupchinskas (Jack) aunt to Michael Amato (Lynn) and Lynn Amato (Jon) and great aunt to Michael and Carly Amato and partner to Robert Penberth.
Jackie, as she was affectionately known, graduated from Little Flower High School and immediately began working for Bell Telephone at the age 18. She would continue to work for AT&T for 35 years as a sales trainer and manager. She was dedicated to her career and took much pride in her work. She loved her job and her team was often number one. After she left the phone company, she worked for Club Systems group for 20 years where she made lifelong friends.
Jackie was an avid reader and enjoyed her daily walks at Mondauk Park. She loved the beach and took many trips to Mexico, Europe and cruises with her sister Gail. The love she had for her family was boundless, and nothing made her happier than gathering for the holidays, or any occasion just to be together.
Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be private.
