Raymond R. Kersey of Dresher, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Brandywine Senior Living, Dresher Estates. He was 88 years old. Raymond was born September 16, 1937 in Abington, Pennsylvania, son of the late Harry Kersey and the late Lola Kersey (nee - Beck). He is the husband of Carole A. (nee Kurtzman) Kersey, father of Gregg H. Kersey and his wife Melissa; grandfather of Aubrey and Evelyn; brother in law of Bobbi-Ann Lineman and her husband Gerard; uncle of Rebecca Kwoczak and her husband Andrew, and Jennifer Blank and her husband Alexander; great uncle of Wilhelm Kwoczak, Kurt Blank, and Kirsten Blank.

Raymond grew up in Lower Bucks County, he was a graduate of Bensalem High School. He met Carole at Ann and Silvie’s wedding. They fell in love and were married in 1962. Raymond worked at WB Saunders and Lea and Febiger as an Executive Editor. His career took him around the world. He enjoyed watching sports especially baseball, which he played, as a pitcher, in his younger years. In his free time, he was an avid reader, followed politics, and enjoyed Jazz especially Ella FitzGerald.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, 2119 Old Welsh Road, Abington, PA 19001. His graveside service followed at Ivy Hill Cemetery, 1201 Easton Road, Philadelphia, PA 19150.

Religious services were conducted by Fr. Winston T. Smith from St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.
