Charles "Chip" Geissler, of Philadelphia PA, died on December 13, 2025. He was 72 years old. He was born February 23, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA to Jeannette Geissler and Charles M. Geissler. He is survived by his wife, Janet Colmery Geissler; sister in law, Joanne Colmery Mahoney, predeceased by his Brother, Donald Geissler, survived by his sister in law, Mary Margaret, Uncle to Brianna Geissler Peke and Donald Geissler, and nephew to Betty Lou Geissler.
He attended Rowland Elementary School, Elkins Park Middle School, and Cheltenham High School, graduating in 1971. Chip worked at John Hopkins Ford, 1971 until 1974 and Buck's Hardware from 1974 until his retirement in 2015. He worked as a salesman during his career. During his lifetime, Chip was a member of many clubs, including the Antique Automobile Club of America, Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, Lionel Collectors Club of America, and the Corvette Club of Delaware Valley.
He loved collecting Lionel trains, automobilia, antique cars, books, and baseball cards. He enjoyed attending car shows, train watching and attending train events with his friends. He was a Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs fan. He loved collecting things and learning everything he could about the subject. Throughout the years, he had many antique cars, including a 1950 Plymouth, 1966 Plymouth Barracuda, 1955 Chrysler New Yorker, 1948 Willys Jeepster, and his last car, a 1978 Corvette.
He will be missed by his wife, family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service will follow at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church, 205 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
Religious services will be conducted by The Reverend John D. Daniels from Holy Nativity Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, PO Box 125, Strasburg, PA 17579.
