Barbara A. Kircher, of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Jefferson Abington Hospital. She was 83 years old. Barbara was born on November 4, 1942, in Bennington, Vermont, to the late Howard C. Ouhl and the late Ruth Ann Ouhl (née Pierce). She grew up in Bennington and attended Bennington Catholic High School. She continued her education at Barry University in Florida and later completed her studies at Southern Vermont College.

While working at a Howard Johnson’s in Vermont, Barbara met the love of her life, Herb Kircher, through mutual friends. They were married on June 10, 1967, in Bennington, Vermont, and shared 58 devoted years together. Barbara and Herb raised their family in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, where they lived for 51 years before moving to Rydal Waters in 2021. Barbara worked in Human Resources for Filene’s Basement in Willow Grove and traveled throughout the Northeast supporting regional store operations.

A woman of deep faith, Barbara was actively involved in New Life Community Church, where she participated in women’s Bible study and women’s ministry. She cherished fellowship, service, and spiritual growth.

Barbara’s greatest joy in life was her family—especially as beloved Mimi to her grandchildren—and her dogs. Barbara and Herb enjoyed many travels throughout the world over the course of their marriage.  Among all their trips, her favorite was the annual vacation to the Outer Banks, where she could unwind and spend quality time with her children, grandchildren and dogs, without interruption.  She also enjoyed playing Mahjong and treasured the friendships and social gatherings she shared with neighbors at Rydal Waters.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Herb Kircher; her daughters, Kimberly and her husband Bruce Watson, and Lisa and her husband Andy Scott; and her cherished grandchildren, Becca Ferrar and her husband Derrick, Kyle Watson, David Scott, and Joe Scott. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda Lebert and her husband Bob, and Michael Von Ouhl. Michael’s wife, Marilyn, resides in Vermont.

Relatives and friends were invited to Barbara’s visitation on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., followed by her funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at New Life Community Church, 2680 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. A graveside service followed at Hatboro Cemetery, 36 Fulmor Avenue, Hatboro, PA 19040.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dr. William C. Covelens of New Life Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to New Life Community Church, 2680 Huntingdon Pike, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
