“Doc” will be remembered as a devoted family man, respected professional, and active member of his community whose warmth and generosity touched countless lives.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Sally Quinlan; his daughter, Lynn Anne Quinlan; his niece, Kathleen Pertschi; and his great-niece and great-nephew, Katie and Kristopher Pertschi. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Safto and his wife Lorraine, and his sister, Marie Sedor.

Doc proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Laboratory Technician. After his honorable discharge, he pursued higher education at St. Joseph’s College and continued on to the Chiropractic School of New York. In 1966, he began his career as a chiropractor, dedicating decades to improving the health and well-being of his patients. His passion for holistic healing also led him to study homeopathy, further expanding the care he provided.

Deeply committed to his community, Doc served as a senior citizen liaison for the Republican Party in Northeast Philadelphia for 20 years, retiring in 2025. He was also a longtime political committeeman in his neighborhood, always working to support and advocate for those around him.

Doc was an active member of numerous organizations, including the Masonic Temple, where he served as past Master, the Lions Club, the Shriners Club, the Rotary Club, and the American Legion Loudenslager Post #366, where he was a dedicated and longstanding member and served as Commander for many years..

Outside of his professional and civic life, Doc embraced life with enthusiasm. He was a licensed pilot who loved flying, an avid golfer, and a devoted fan of baseball, especially enjoying trips to Phillies spring training games. He also had a great appreciation for Italian food and the simple joy of sharing meals with family and friends.

Doc will be remembered as an all-around great man—kind, generous, and full of life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. and masonic service at 12:45 P.M. and memorial service at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046 at 1:00 PM.

Relatives and friends were also invited to his graveside service and military honors rendered by the United States Army on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Religious services were conducted by Father Jeff Rott from St. Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473.
