Herta Busch, of Warminster, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Ann’s Choice. She was 84 years old. Born on June 12, 1941, in Stefansfeld, Yugoslavia, Herta was the daughter of the late Mathias Engelman and the late Theresa Engelman (née Beauzelitz).
She immigrated to the United States in 1955 and grew up in North Philadelphia, later residing in Bensalem. Herta attended Little Flower High School and graduated in June 1962 from Bishop Conwell High School. She met her beloved husband, Herb Busch, at an event at the VE, and they were married on April 8, 1967, at Tabor Lutheran Church. Herta worked for many years as a bookkeeper and secretary for Elliott Lewis and several HVAC companies. She also worked alongside her husband in the office of Michelfelder’s, the family’s meat processing business. She had a lifelong love of reading and found great joy in books. Herta had a love for cooking and baking. She was always so kind and sweet to everyone.
In November 1978, Herta and Herb lovingly adopted their children, Billy and Joanne. Family was always at the center of her life. She was the beloved wife of the late Herb Busch; devoted mother of the late Joanne Busch and the late Bill Busch (Donna Harris); loving grandmother of Nicolle Busch (Matthew Karr); and dear sister of Richard Engelman (Catherine), Susan Wadja (Anthony), and Elizabeth Walls (T). She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Rolf Busch (Almut).
Herta moved to Ann’s Choice in October 2021, where she was well cared for in her later years.
