Scott Robinson, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family, on the evening of June 4th, 2026. He was 50 years old. He was born on January 3rd,1976 in Abington, Pennsylvania, to Fred and Deidre Robinson. He is the father of Sienna and Sylvia Robinson, brother to Kristy and Kevin Walck, and uncle to Brodie and Janessa Walck.
Scott attended Fitzwater Elementary School, Sandy Run Middle School and Upper Dublin Senior High School, graduating in 1994. A big part of his childhood was being a member of Oreland Boy Scout Troop 1 in Oreland, Pa. His father was a troop leader and they spent many summers at camp together at Hawk Mountain. Scott became the Senior Patrol Leader and earned his Eagle Scout rank, The Order of the Arrow and was honored to be a member of the troops Order of the Hawk. For this reason among others, the hawk was always a very special symbol for Scott. This, along with camping and traveling with his family, grew his love for the environment and the outdoors.
Scott was a gifted athlete. Growing up he played baseball, soccer, and swam on many community and school teams. He continued into his adult years by coaching his daughters in soccer and softball and remaining an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He took both his daughters to their first Phillies games, and otherwise loved meeting with neighborhood friends to cheer them on. If not to watch sports, he was happy to join friends and family to play board games or yard games- catan, darts and horseshoe were a few of his specialties.
Scott had a passion for food, and loved trying new restaurants and recipes. He was especially notorious for his unique flavors of home brewed beer. While he would rarely turn down a trip to a bakery or ice cream shop, he loved exercising and staying active. You could often find him in the gym, out biking, or walking with the family dog, Ozzy. Besides his main love of hiking and biking, he also enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, and skiing. Scott also connected with many over a love of live music, and traveled to varying venues to see some of his favorite artists. He was almost always listening to some kind of music in his spare time, even guiding him through his more quiet hobbies like journaling and meditation.
Scott earned an Associate's Degree in Environmental Sciences from Paul Smiths College in the Adirondacks in 1996. He then took a break from his education to roadtrip across the United States in his Jeep. He camped and backpacked in many of the National Parks and wilderness areas across 19 states. While he got to visit old friends from college, he made many new ones, and was inspired to move to the west coast. After some time working at Dames & Moore back on the east coast, he left the corporate world and spent time as a tree planter and landscaper while establishing residency to attend school in Oregon.
In 2001 he finished his college education at Oregon State University where he earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Natural Resource and a minor in Water Quality Management. He was an inductee to the Golden Key National Honor Society, and graduated cum laude. He lived in Corvallis with future wife, Sarah, where their first child, Sienna, was born in 2000. After graduation, Scott was a research assistant in an OSU lab studying the effects of organic soils, worked at his local co-op, and married Sarah.
They all then moved back to Oreland, PA where Scott attended Massage Therapy School. He received his License in 2004 from the National Academy of Massage Therapy and Healing Sciences. He and Sarah started their own holistic health care business, Healthy Horizons. After moving into Philadelphia, they had their second daughter, Sylvia, in 2007. Since then Scott developed a client base working at several spas, notably Art Plus Science and Terme de Aroma. He also did chair massage events through Penn Fitness and Recreation and for Corporate Touch- all throughout the Delaware Valley. He has developed a loyal clientele of patients that he saw out of his home who all have experienced his healing touch and advice.
Scott lived in Chestnut Hill for nearly 20 years. While he enjoyed traveling to many places, Vermont and New Hampshire were special places he went yearly to visit his parents and sister’s family. Scott leaves behind family, friends, and many other life plans that cancer stopped abruptly, but leaves behind a legacy of lasting connections all over the country.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life held in Scott’s honor on Monday, June 29th, 2026, taking place at Militia Hill Pavilion 3 of Fort Washington State Park. We will be there starting at 4 pm, and have the site until sunset. This is a casual gathering open to anyone who knew Scott to drop in and mingle. For those who feel called with words or memories, we have designated 6 pm as when to come together to share.
As a celebration of Scott, and the things that he loved, we invite you to wear something comfortable- maybe this is a favorite band tee, a Philadelphia sports jersey, or even some hiking or fishing gear. There will be light snacks and refreshments, but anyone is welcome to bring a side to share. There is no alcohol permitted per park rules, but there is a pub nearby for anyone who wants to gather for a beverage after.
There is limited picnic table seating so if you have a lawn or beach chair to bring, please do so.
