The following was composed by Edward's family:

Edward Alexander Podlaszewski of Lake City, Florida passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday July 5th, 2026. He was 82. Edward was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 29th, 1943 to Alexander John Podlaszewski and Marianna Politowska (maiden). He was the last of 5 siblings (Helen, Suzanne, Mary and Angela). Edward leaves behind Maria (wife), Angela (daughter), Lewis (son), Andrew (son) and 2 grandchildren Bohdan and Mason Podlaszewski.

Edward was Baptized at St. Laurentius Church on July 16th, 1944. He would later attend and graduate from The Northeast Catholic High School for Boys and graduate in 1962. Soon after he would enroll in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis, New Mexico. After his service he moved back to Philadelphia where he met and would later marry Maria Szturmaj August 30th, 1969. Edward enrolled in night school to become an electrician and then work for and retire from the School Board of Philadelphia. Afterwards he would move the family to Lake City, FL where the second half of his life was lived. He then worked for Rest Care Inc as Maintenence Supervisor and would eventually retire from there as well. In his retirement he enjoyed reading, comedy, sci-fi, his family and pets among other things. He was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he could and was an active member of the Catholic Church.

Family and friends were invited to his viewing at Wetzel and Son 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, Pennsylvania 19046 on Wednesday July 15th from 9am to 11am followed by a funeral prayers at Lawnview Cemetery 500 Huntingdon Pike, Jenkintown, PA 19046 at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 are appreciated.
