Gary A. Blewitt, of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, died peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Jefferson Abington Hospital. He was 77 years old. Gary was born on July 17, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of the late William E. Blewitt Sr. and the late Doris V. Blewitt (nee Cupitt).
Gary grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. Following high school, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served honorably until his discharge in 1971.
For many years, Gary worked as a print operator for Piccari Press in Warminster. An avid sportsman, Gary enjoyed spending time outdoors and appreciated the many activities and adventures that came with being in nature. He was also a generous and caring person who was always willing to lend a hand to a neighbor, friend, or family member. His willingness to help others and his genuine kindness left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Gary was the beloved brother of Bill Blewitt and his wife, Linda; cherished uncle of William G. Blewitt and his wife, Amy, and Brian C. Blewitt; and dear friend of John Kathrins and his wife, Terry, and their family.
Relatives and friends were invited to his graveside service with military honors rendered by the United States Army on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 9:30 A.M. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940. please plan to arrive in the procession area 9:15 - 9:25 am.
