Nancy Langhorne Dambach, 95, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at St. Mary Medical Center. Born on April 10, 1931, in Philadelphia, Nancy was the daughter of the late Albert Teall and the late Ida Minnie Teall (nee Turner). She was born, raised, and educated in the Lawndale section of Philadelphia and graduated from Olney High School in 1949.

Nancy met the love of her life, James J. Dambach Sr., while they were in high school. They were married in 1951 at Wyoming Avenue Baptist Church and shared 59 years of marriage until his passing. Together, they raised their family in Lawndale, where Nancy remained a lifelong member of the community she loved.

Nancy devoted many years to working as a bookkeeper and secretary for an importer in Germantown. Later in life, she found great joy working alongside her beloved twin sister, Shirley, at Wyoming Avenue Baptist Church, where she served as director and teacher of the preschool daycare. Nancy and her family were longtime members of Wyoming Avenue Baptist Church, a place that held a special meaning throughout her life.

Nancy treasured the simple pleasures of life and, above all, the time she spent with her family. She enjoyed word search puzzles, crocheting, and playing games with those she loved. She especially enjoyed summer days in Ocean City, New Jersey, where she could be found riding her mobility scooter along the boardwalk. In her later years, one of her greatest pleasures was simply sitting on her porch, enjoying the day and the familiar comforts of home.

Nancy was the beloved mother of James J. Dambach Jr. and his wife, Maryjane, and Sherri Major and her husband, Joseph. She was the cherished grandmother of Melissa Bradby and her fiancé, Thomas Cichocki; Joseph Major Jr. and his wife, Ingrid; Kimberly Major and her fiancé, Gerrell Rollins; and Christopher Major and his wife, Patricia. She was a loving great-grandmother of Carrie, Connor, Courtney, Hailey, Joseph, Brayden, Brianna, Sophia, Greyson, Caleb, Grace, and Noah, and the late Lily Faith and a proud great-great-grandmother of Annabella and Ronan. Nancy was the devoted twin sister of Shirley Parcell and her late husband, George. She was predeceased by her siblings, Stella Newton and Howard Teall, and was the sister-in-law of Margaret Sutton.

Nancy will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her enduring faith, her gentle spirit, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those around her. Her greatest legacy is the family she loved so dearly and the many memories she created with them over the course of her long and meaningful life.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Her graveside service followed at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Thomas Huckel from Hananeel Ministries.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hananeel Ministries, P.O. Box 11527, Philadelphia, PA 19116 or Whosoever Gospel Mission, 101 East Chelten Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144.
