Anton “Toni” Michi of Warminster, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Christ’s Home. He was 96 years old. Toni was born on February 12, 1930, in Kathreinfeld, Yugoslavia. He was the son of the late Anton Michi and the late Theresa Michi (née Miller).
He was the beloved husband of the late Anna M. Michi; devoted father of Herbert Michi and his wife, Marie, and Richard Michi and his wife, Cheryl; grandfather of Richard Michi and his wife, Katherine; and great-grandfather of Ethan. He is also survived by his niece, Inge Servey, her husband, James, and their family.
Toni grew up in Kathreinfeld, a small German village founded by the Danube Swabians in the late 18th century. During the upheaval of the postwar years, he fled Yugoslavia and spent five years in a refugee camp in Austria, where he met his future wife Anna. In 1951, Anna emigrated to the United States, she returned home and the couple married in Europe. In 1953, they traveled to the United States aboard the SS United States and settled in Philadelphia, where they began their life together.
Toni worked as a bricklayer for most of his career, taking pride in his work and the life he built for his family. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, following sports, playing games and spending time with family.
A memorial service is being planned, information will be added to this site as soon as it is available.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Christ’s Home, 1 Shepherd’s Way, Suite 100, Warminster, PA 18974.
